Water Street - The residence of J.C. Rhodes, an industrialist, at 57 Water Street was owned by Mary E. Alien in 1908. She was the daughter of Capt. William F. MacDougall, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at his home in Marion after a long battle with diabetes. Born on March 27, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Roy S. and Arlie Belle (Bennett) MacDougall, he moved to Marion in 1936 to what was known at the time as the Rhodes estate, located at 57 Water Street.
