    Water Street - The residence of J.C. Rhodes, an industrialist, at 57 Water Street was owned by Mary E. Alien in 1908. She was the daughter of Capt. Henry Allen, another prominent Marion industrialist, who owned a shipbuilding yard on Water Street as well as interests in Marion's several salt-harvesting operations. Capt.
