General view, South wall from one of the first Marion Antiques Shows in Hoyt Hall, Tabor Academy. The year is in the late 1940's. Paintings by Clifford Ashley, Cecil Clark Davis and a loaned Italian portrait and Florentine chairs. This is Mr. Charles Hamlin's exhibit. Plants from Mrs. Robert G. Stone. Mrs. Charles Winkler (Barbara) kept the shows going in the mid to late 1950's. She hired Lloyd Hathaway, an antiques dealer from Boston, to manage the shows. |
