Bay View House 1794 became Sippican Hotel in 1880's. Old Timothy Hiller farm home of 1700's. Became Bay View House late 1700's. J. S. Luce added 3rd floor in 1864. Was at corner of Water and South Streets where Coaply (sp?) now stands. Became Hotel Sippican.

The Sippican Hotel, Marion, Mass., C. W. Ripley, Proprietor. The original part was the farmhouse of Timothy Hiller. Started as an Inn. Bay View House 1797, built on to handle tourists in early 1900's until it had 350 rooms. Hotel sold and pulled down in the 1930's.
