Inns & Businesses - Dutchland Farms was a familiar landmark at the intersection of Route 6 (Mill Street) and Route 105 (Front Street), operated prior to World War II by Sarah Burbank. In addition to ice cream, the menu included sandwiches and soft drinks. Inns & Businesses - Stinson's Garage was another early Marion business located at the intersection of routes 6 and 105. J. J. Stinson's started as a Ford dealership, but had changed allegiance to Chevrolet by the time this picture was taken in the early 1930s. Transportation - The standpipe near the Town Barn at Route 6 and Converse Road. The 100-foot standpipe with a capacity of 245,000 gallons provides pressure for Marion's town water system and was erected in 1908. At the standpipe's lower right is the town's stone crusher.
