Churches - Methodism arrived in Sippican Village about 1820. The Reformed Methodist Church survived until 1865 at the intersection of Point and County roads. Thereafter, a breakaway group formed the Methodist Episcopal Church and met in the County Road Schoolhouse. Inns & Businesses - Dutchland Farms was a familiar landmark at the intersection of Route 6 (Mill Street) and Route 105 (Front Street), operated prior to World War II by Sarah Burbank. In addition to ice cream, the menu included sandwiches and soft drinks. Stinson's started as a Ford dealership, but had changed allegiance to Chevrolet by the time this picture was taken in the early 1930s.
