    Camps & Clubs - The New Bedford Girl Scout's Camp Hall was located at 116 Converse Road. It was named for Miss Emma R. Hall, founder of New Bedford's first Girl Scout troop in 1873. From 1923 to 1944, the camp hosted about 300 campers each summer. In 1944, a major hurricane destroyed the pine forest in which it was located.
