The Sippican Hotel, Marion, Mass., C. W. Ripley, Proprietor. The original part was the farmhouse of Timothy Hiller. Started as an Inn. Bay View House 1797, built on to handle tourists in early 1900's until it had 350 rooms. Hotel sold and pulled down in the 1930's.

Sippican Hotel & Casino - This view of the Hotel Sippican, at the foot of South Street facing Water Street, dates from about 1970. It dearly shows the hotel's original building and two distinct additions. The original section, with tower at right, dates to 1794, when Timothy Hiller built it as a farmhouse. A digital image of an engraving of the Bay View House which was built in 1794 by the Hiller family on the corner of South Street and Harbor Lane (now called Water Street). In 1882, the Sippican Hotel was added to the Harbor Lane side and the Sippican Hotel Casino for dances and tennis was added across the street on the harbor.
