Allen Russell "Skeet" Ladner, 81, of Marion, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Jane Deane Ladner. Mr. Ladner was the former owner of Marion Garage for many years. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a member of the Benjamin D. Cushing V.F.W. Post # 2425 in Marion. Mr. Ladner was a former call-firefighter for the Marion Fire Dept. and was a member of the Marion Firefighters Assoc. He was also an active member of the "Downshifters Car Club" of Freetown. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jean Allyn Gates of Marion; his son, Russell Allen Ladner of Rochester; his sister, Joyce Cooper of N. Kingstown, RI; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, the late Edward Jerome Ladner. |
